New Experiences

Ah...blogging is so new to me (see comment to Al's Timetable post) that I don't really know how to do it. Hence I began by writing a really long comment instead of writing a post! I don't think I've ever posted anything before (apart of course from letters).

So the comment contains absolute gems of info and some true grammatical wonders. I encourage you to read it.

I know what to do now. So I'll no longer comment.

  1. I see.

Just so that you don't think of me as an anorak-wearing lunatic I should just let you know that blogs are really my half-hearted, luddite way of getting all the benefits of facebook without having to join facebook. I don't blog like crazy you know! Ha ha! Ha ha ha!

I ache, by the way. I tried the 'don't stop running' approach today and managed certainly not to stop so early. But I couldn't manage the whole 25 minutes without some walking. So maybe I'm starting with too long a run, or maybe I am a weed. Don't reply to that comment.

I've stopped with the mochas and upped my cycling.

  2. I'm guessing I'm going to have to stop with the cappacinos and up the swimming!
Definitely not a weed. Anyone prepared to begin on this mission is definitely not a weed. 25 mins is pretty ambitious. It doesn't sound it but you'll be doing 2 miles plus in that time. Why don't you drop it to 15/20 mins or for as long as you can run for and consolidate that for a bit. Get a bit comfy with your style and let your legs get used to what you're asking them to do. Once you can do that comfortably just add a minute every couple of runs and you'll soon be tripping along merrily. Too much too soon just makes one abjectly miserable and means you get injured.xx
